  • Instructions for Invigilation Arrangements – July 2026 ATT Exam Session

The ATT will take the following steps to enable candidates to sit their examination:

    1. 5 minutes prior to the start of the examination, the ATT will email a copy of the examination paper to the candidate using their preferred email address.
    2. The candidate will create their responses to the examination in a word document.
    3. The invigilator will ensure that the examination is completed within the time allocated for the examination and without collusion with other candidates/any other third parties who may otherwise assist them with their responses.
    4. The invigilator will ensure that the candidate saves their responses as a PDF at the end of the examination time in a PDF format with the title of the PDF being the candidate’s 5-digit candidate number (NOT the student registration number).
    5. The PDF will be returned to [Jude Maidment jmaidment@ciot.org.uk] within 10 minutes of the end of the examination and, once the email has been acknowledged by the ATT, the employer/invigilator will ensure that the candidate responses have been deleted from the machine used to produce the answers and any other devices on which the question paper or responses are held.

To facilitate this option, the employer/invigilator will need to sign and return to the ATT the declaration set out below by 12 noon on 20 July:

  • Date*
     - -
  • Examination Date*
     - -
  • Employer/Invigilator Declaration

    I will ensure that:

    • the candidate sits the examination paper within the examination rules (which includes no use of AI tools)
    • the candidate’s responses are entirely the candidate’s own work
    • I have confirmed the identity of the candidate, and
    • the candidate creates their responses on a word document and saves it as a PDF in the format set out above.

At the end of the examination time, I will ensure the candidate response is converted to a PDF document and that the response is emailed to Jude Maidment at jmaidment@ciot.org.uk.

As soon as the email has been acknowledged by Jude, I will ensure the candidate has deleted all copies of the examination paper, the candidate response from all relevant devices and emails sending the examination responses to the ATT.

The acknowledgement of receipt by Jude Maidment will act as the assurance that the ATT has received the candidate’s responses to the examination paper and a copy of the candidate’s identification verified by me.

I understand that receipt of the candidate responses may take up to 24 hours from submission of the answers.

I understand that failure to follow these instructions may lead to the examination result for the candidate being disallowed.
